BOFA International, the Poole-based global leader in fume and dust extraction technology, has been named among Britain’s top 200 fastest growing mid-sized businesses for export sales.
The company enters the list at 163 and is one of only 11 headquartered in the South West of England to feature in The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200.
The league table ranks Britain’s mid-market private companies with the fastest growth in international sales over the last two years. To be nominated, a business must have total sales of at least £25m and international sales of at least £1m.
Tony Lockwood, Managing Directors of BOFA, commented:
This acknowledgement of our success in flying the flag for Britain around the world is testament to our business strategy since a management buy-out in 2015 and the dedication and hard work of our people.
The Sunday Times acknowledgement continues a period of significant achievement for the company, including winning a Queen’s Award for Innovation, being named the BDO Mid-Market Company of the Year and the opening of a new 12,000 sq ft state-of-the-art corporate head office and centre of excellence in Poole.
BOFA began life in 1987 as a small family business and has developed into a global leader in fume and dust extraction systems that remove harmful airborne contaminants associated with industrial processes. Aside from its presence in Dorset, the company also has offices in Germany and the USA, a business development function in Poland, and is now looking to expand further into the Far East and China.
