Donaldson BOFA’s strong partnership with dealers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) around the world is founded on trust, technology innovation, and delivering value.
This is made possible by a commitment to wrap-around support involving technical specialists, scientists, application engineers, product managers, and customer service teams…and they are ready to swing into action from the moment an inquiry is received for a new application for an existing system – or to develop an entirely new product range.
The support provided by the Donaldson BOFA team will be tailored to the OEM or dealer objective, whether that involves anticipating a market change, implementing a product obsolescence strategy, or harnessing an innovation in technology. The push in these scenarios can be initiated either by the customer, for example when a market opportunity is identified, or by Donaldson BOFA introducing new technology to meet a specific fume extraction need, for example in sectors undergoing rapid change, such as additive manufacturing.
If the request is for a refresh of an existing product, technical sales managers and engineers will advise on the optimal set-up in terms of filter type and capacity, hose kits, and airflow rates and control to meet the desired specifications.
Where the requirement is for a more bespoke solution or to fulfill a new market need, Donaldson BOFA is engaged to support customers from concept through to prototyping and on to field trials and acceptance testing prior to product launch. This work, in partnership with OEMs, will begin with a proof of concept that addresses an agreed problem statement and will follow a well-developed end-to-end process.
Such product development projects are always in progress at Donaldson BOFA and they form a very intense body of work involving many specialists.
As Judi O’Ceallaigh, Product Services Manager at Donaldson BOFA, explains: “Our support for our partners extends across the entire product lifecycle.
“It’s not just about product development, we carry out market assessment and requirements capture before diving into the development cycle. For launch, we create technical documentation, marketing collateral, and provide training for our partners’ sales and technical teams enabling them to sell with confidence and maintain new systems in the field. This support continues even when systems are no longer actively marketed to ensure that customers are able to access replacement parts and filters through our Aftermarket capability.
“The overarching message here is that as well as being active partners in innovation and product development, Donaldson BOFA application, product and customer-focused specialists will always offer support to manufacturers as and when they need it, whatever the stage of their product lifecycle.”
